Frank Adam Haley
Frank Adam Haley was born on September 18, 1924 in Nashville, Tennessee to Frank T. and Nina (Hicks) Haley. He was a lifelong member of the American Legion Post 345 served in World War II and was involved in the invasion of Normandy, Northern France and Rhineland. Frank was a Police officer in several places including Austin, Texas and decided to transfer to the Austin ISD where he was Captain for many years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fedor, TX. He and Lydia loved to travel and see now places. He passed away on the morning of Thursday, April 14, 2011 at home in Paige. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Edna Biehle, son Clifford Eugene Haley, one infant sister and one sister Evelyn Turner. Frank is survived by his wife, Lydia Lehmann Haley of Ledbetter; two daughters, Phyllis and Tommy Hodges of Bastrop; Carolyn LaFrance of Lexington; one step daughter, Carolyn and James Keng of Giddings; three grandchildren, Crystal and Tracy Iselt of Fedor, Rustin and Lisa Hodges of Fairfield, Carmen LaFrance; two step grandchildren, Jaime and Ron Manning of Giddings, Casey and Frank Smith of Giddings; nine great grandchildren, and six step great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Funeral services for Frank Haley, 86 of Paige, Texas, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fedor, Texas with Rev. Leif Hasskarl officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Visitation was held at 8:00 AM Saturday morning at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home, with the family present from 3:00PM until 6:00 PM
