With Homecoming just around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about getting your parade entry ready. This year’s 46th Annual Lexington Homecoming Parade promises to be bigger and better than ever. Lucy Torn is the Parade Coordinator.

The parade will be on Saturday, April 30 and will start at 10:30 a.m. at the Lexington High School parking lot. Registration will begin at 7:00 a.m. Participants will be assigned a number and position for the parade upon registration. Plaques and ribbons will be awarded in several categories as shown on the parade entry form. If you want your entry to be eligible for judging, you must have your parade entry in your assigned position by 9:15 a.m. Registration will be accepted until 9:00 a.m. on the morning of the parade.

These guys may look tough, but they have a real sweet cause. Bikers Against Child Abuse from Bastrop and Lee Counties set up a booth in 2008, complete with mechanical motorcycles for the kids to ride for free while they talked to people about their mission. Bigfoot, Mapster and Pappy are seen in here. These guys may look tough, but they have a real sweet cause. As this is a volunteer organization, you might get an answering machine, but please leave a message and someone will return your call as soon as possible.

We look forward to seeing all of you on Saturday, April 30 in downtown Lexington for the Parade, Arts & Crafts, Car Show, Tractor Show, Art Show, Bar-B-Que Cook-off, and all the different Food Booths provided by local organizations.
