Lexington Tennis Report

by Mike Organ

While baseball, softball, and track have been taking center stage, the Lexington Tennis team has been making marks of its own. Kaelan Blok and Mackenzie Brown won the Rockdale and Thrall Tourneys in Mixed Doubles. That is quite an achievement considering their involvement in other sports. Eriq Mitchell won third in boys singles at an Academy meet. Vaugh Kassner and London Jacob won consolation in the same tourney. Jace Jones placed fourth at the Thrall event.

In the JV Division, Jacob Snyder won second place at Academy, Corey Strain was the consolation champ in Academy, and Susanna Braziel got third at Academy. Tyler Moerbe and Ashley Graves earned third in mixed doubles in the same tourney. Donn Miller was the consolation champ in singles at the Thrall JV. Landon Walch was fourth in singles, and Lauren Johnston competed well.

The Lexington netters will be playing in the District 27-AA tourney in Harker Heights at the Pelaton Country Club Wednesday and Thursday.
