Leonard Kastner was the featured speaker at the Lexington Log Cabins general membership meeting that was held on Sunday, March 27. His subject was the McDade Pottery, made in our area starting from around 1890. History tells us that McDade’s soil had the right kind of clay in it, making it perfect for pottery. Potters who made the McDade Pottery specialized in utilitarian pottery and flower pots.
