The Eagles and Lady Eagles were both perfect during spring break. Let’s hope the two teams can keep up the pace after spring break. The Eagles are undefeated in district action and the Lady Eagles are tied for first place with Rogers and Cameron, teams they play this week. They could be in first place alone or third alone. This is a very important week for the Lady Eagles. The week is equally important for the Eagles with games with Rogers and Cameron.
My dream game of Texas vs. A& M for the national championship is over. Both have been eliminated from the NCAA playoffs. Now it is “wait until next year” or “we should have”. How are your teams doing? It seems almost every game is close and decided by a basket or an official’s call.
The officials are under a lot of scrutiny on every call due to instant replay and slow motion. They are being second guessed on every call, it seems. It is a tough job and TV analysts are making it even more difficult.
I haven’t heard a word on the AD position at Giddings. I understand they have a plethora of applicants.
This is not about sports: I haven’t heard of a single school or TEA administrator willing to take a pay cut to keep teachers on the job. Just an example: The bonus the Austin ISD superintendent got for just doing her job would pay a teacher for a year. Teaching is where the difference is made, not in administration.
