Lexington used a big offensive night from Josh O’Conner (triple, single, and four RBI’s) and a monster home run by Chase Hibbeler. Kaelan Blok and Tyler Moerbe both had three-hit nights for the Eagles.

LV opened the scoring in the top of the third inning with three runs. Lexington answered with two in the bottom of the third on Hibbeler’s blast, a double by Donnie Havard, and an RBI single from Moerbe.

Lexington broke open the game with 12 runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. Brandon Meyer got things started with a single. Hibbeler followed with another one-base hit, Havard walked, a wild pitch got Meyer home, O’Conner got two more home, Blok singled home a run, Moerbe singled home a run, Logan Meuth walked, Lane Turner popped a double for two runs, Meyer walked his second time up in the inning, Hibbeler reached on an error, Havard doubled home a run, O’Conner singled home two, and Moerbe singled home the twelfth run of the inning. Lexington had sent 16 batters to the plate in the at-bat.

LV got a run in the top of the fifth but Lexington held a 10-run lead and the game was over.

Dylan Iselt pitched a good game for the Eagles. He was consistently around the plate and made LV hit the ball to get on base. Four strikeouts, two walks, and four hits made up the pitching line for Iselt for the game.

The game ended on an unusual play. A ground ball to short, which O’Conner fielded and threw to first for the out. The runner on second rounded third, Meuth threw to Hibbeler covering for the tag and a 6-3-5 double play.
