Lee-Bastrop County Farm Bureau Presents Check toTanglewood Community Food Bank



Lee-Bastrop County Farm Bureau President Mike Organ presents a check to Gloria Richardson for theTanglewood Food Bank. This is one of three checks the Farm Bureau presented to food banks for Food Check Out week. In February alone, the Tanglewood Food bank served 91 families and 228 individuals. The Lexington mobile food distribution served 329 individuals and 121 families. Checks were also presented to Giddings Food Bank and the Bastrop County Food Bank. Farm Bureau uses Food Check Out week to demonstrate just how much you can get for your food dollar. Americans spend a smaller percentage of their income on food than any country in the world.
