The Lexington City Council met in regular session on Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at 6:00 p.m., at the Woodson Community Center.

Present was Mayor Robert Willrich, Sr., Councilpersons Tony Tavary, Tim Brown, Greg Langehennig, Lori Barnikow and William Langehenning.

Mayor Robert Willrich, Sr. brought the meeting to order and welcomed the guest.

Lori Barnikow made the motion to approve the minutes for February 9th & 28th, 2011, with change on February 28, 2011 meeting. Tim Brown seconded the motion. Vote 5 for.

Tim Brown made the motion to approve paying the bills for February 2011. Tony Tavary seconded the motion. Vote 5 for.

Lori Barnikow made the motion to stay with the straight franchise fee with Atmos Energy. Tony Tavary seconded the motion. Vote 4 for. One abstained. (Tim Brown).

William Langehennig made the motion to accept his proposal for Council to be able to use City Attorney without contacting the Mayor. Tim Brown seconded the motion. Vote 4 for. Vote 1 against. (Tony Tavary)

William Langehennig made the motion to raise security light fee to 410.25 per month. Tim Brown seconded the motion. Vote 5 for.

Greg Langehennig made the motion to take no action on rate adjustment for sewer. Tim Brown seconded the motion. Vote 5 for .

William Langehennig made the motion to still not allow police officers employed full time for the City of Lexington and bonded for the City of Lexington to work outside of the city limit supplemental law enforcement type employment until after charges from Hays County on police officer has been finalized. Tim Brown seconded the motion. Vote 4 for. Vote 1 against. (Tony Tavary) (After motions and vote, William Langehennig stated that if officers continue to do so it will be grounds for instant termination.)

Greg Langehennig made motion to accept financial report. Lori Barnikow seconded the motion. Vote 5 for.

Lori Barnikow made the motion to accept budget report. Tim Brown seconded the motion. Vote 5 for.

Lori Barnikow made the motion to accept the police report as presented. William Langehennig seconded the motion. Vote 5 for .

Tim Brown made motion to adjourn. Greg Langehennig seconded the motion. Vote 5 for.
