From the Superintendent of Schools

Dr. Frances M. McArthur, PhD Lexington ISD

This past year, I have been struck by the tremendous self-confidence of many of our students. Recently, I was made aware of the awesome performance and comportment of our students at the State Archery Tournament. Congratulations to our high school students Joshua O’Conner, Daniel Holland, Ethan Ragland, and Jacob Lamb who competed in the event and made Lexington proud. We also had seven middle school participants who represented our district very well at this 2011 Texas State Scholarship Archery Championship: Jason Mann, Nicholas McMahon, Walt Green, Baily Ender, Clay Brockenbush, Jonathan Otte, and Christopher Hasskarl. I don’t know how these students do so much. I see them everywhere, working hard in class, on the baseball field and even excelling in archery. Wow, no wonder Lexington ISD is the district everyone wants to be at.
