JV Baseball Tourney

PHOTO BY MARK STRAIN Zach Rother is seen laying down a nice bunt for the Eagle JV. PHOTO BY MARK STRAIN The Eagle JV opened their tourney with a 10-0 win over Thrall. They followed with a 14-7 loss to Bastrop Cedar Creek. They then lost the third place game to Rockdale 12-9.

Game 1- Lexington JV 10 Thrall JV 0

Jason Washington had a homer, double, and single in the game. Zach Rother had a pair of doubles, Derek Dane a couple of singles, Jacob Snyder a couple of singles, and the rest of the team had two singles in the five inning game.

Game 2- Cedar Creek 14 Lexington JV 7

The Eagle JV competed well with eight players suspended for disciplinary reasons. Corey Strain had a pair of singles, three stolen bases and an RBI. London Jacob had a single, Dane a double, Smith a single, and McMahon a single in the game for Lexington.

Game 3- Rockdale 12 Lexington 9

The Eagles were outscored by the Milam County team. Derek Dane went three for three in the contest. Jason Washington, Eriq Mitchell, and Corey Strain pitched for Lexington in the loss.
