Lexington topped Granger 12- 2 Tuesday night to remain undefeated in the 2011 season. The Eagles struck early getting nine runs in the bottom of the first inning. Lexington then added one run in each of the next three atbats to reach the mercy mark of a 10-run lead after five innings.

The first five batters scored for Lexington in the bottom of the first. After two outs, the Eagles plated four more runs in the bottom of the first. Kogan Garret led off with a walk. Dylan Iselt singled, Josh O’Conner walked, Tyler Moerbe singled and Kaelan Blok singled before an out was made. After two outs, Greg Tiemann singled and Donnie Havard walked to bat around. Garrett reached on an error and Iselt homered to wrap up the first inning scoring.

In the second inning Blok reached on a fielder’s choice. Brandon Meyer’s double moved Blok to third. From there he scored on a wild pitch. Garrett reached base to lead off the third. O’Conner singled to advance the runner to third. He then scored on a fielder’s choice.

Chace Hibbeler singled with one out. He moved to second on Tiemann’s grounder. The shortstop threw the ball away as Hibbeler scored.

Blok pitched the first four innings masterfully. Meyer relieved late in the fourth. O’Conner came in to pitch to the last few batters.
