Mundina Paulina Eichler

February 6, 1912 - February 15, 2011

Mrs. Eichler passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Oakland Manor Nursing Center in Giddings.

Mundina Paulina Glaeser Eichler was born on February 6, 1912 in Industry, Texas to Ernst Jr. & Ida (Gross) Glaeser. She was united in marriage to Woodrow A. Eichler on November 29, 1936 in Dime Box, Texas. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Eichler was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and two brothers, Edgar Glaeser and Eldie Glaeser.

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth & Mary Ann Eichler of Lincoln and Douglas & Barbara Eichler of La Grange; five grandchildren, Michael & Marianela “Nelly” Eichler of San Antonio, Deanna Eichler & Leslee Froehlich of Austin, Tammy Eichler of La Grange, Aaron & Audrey Eichler of Seguin and Scott Eichler of La Grange; four great grandchildren, Anastaisa Eichler of Oklahoma, Ethan Eichler of Oklahoma, Addison Eicher of Seguin and Josie Ovalle of Austin; brother, Leslie & Juanita Glaeser of Taylor; sister, Pearlie Frederick of Taylor; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Glaeser of Taylor and multiple nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Funeral services for Mundina Eichler, 99 of Dime Box, Texas, were held on Friday, February 18, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Dime Box, Texas with Rev. Ed Truelson officiating. Burial followed in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Dime Box. Visitation was held Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. The Eichler family was present for visitation Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Serving as pallbearers were Leonard Roeglin, Dennis Eichler, Denver “Buddy” Eichler, Charlie Millhouse, Aaron Eichler and Scott Eichler.

Memorials may be made to the St. John Lutheran Church, Hospice Brazos Valley of the charity of one’s choice.
