Charline Frank

March 5, 1936 - January 28, 2011

Mrs. Frank went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 28, 2011 after a long bout with Parkinson’s Disease.

Charline Ellison Frank was born on March 5, 1936 in Marlin, Texas to Rufus Hardy and Maple ( McLeroy) Ellison. She was baptized in 1949 at the First Baptist Church in Bellmead, Texas. Charline married Kenneth Frank on December 19, 1953 at Oak Forest Baptist Church in Houston. She was confirmed on December 17, 1969 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Wichita, Kansas. She was a devoted Christian and wife and a loving mother and grandmother. She loved music and laughter. In addition to being a homemaker, she had worked at the Rufus Young King Library in Giddings as a librarian for six years and was a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Charline is survived by her husband of 57 years, Kenneth G. Frank Sr. of Giddings; sons, Kenneth Frank Jr. and wife, JoAnn of Dallas and Michael Frank of Giddings; grandchildren, Derek Frank of Houston, Ryan Frank of Dallas and Rachel Frank of Dallas; sister, Daryle Ann Parks of Atlanta, Georgia; brother, Charles Ellison of Franklin, Texas and sister-in-law, Phyllis Lux of Giddings.

Funeral services for Charline Frank, 74 of Giddings, were held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 31, 2011 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giddings with Rev. Robert Tiner officiating. Burial followed in the Giddings City Cemetery. Visitation was held Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 7:00 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. The Frank family was present for visitation Sunday afternoon from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
