Giddings Library News Corner

by Judy Belyeu

Come by the Giddings Public Library and check out some good books and snuggle by the warm fire. Honor’s Splendour by Julie Garwood, in CD only, is about a romance that develops after a battle of vengeance. Duncan of Wexford attacks Baron London. The result is the capture of London’s sister, Lady Madelyne. Sins Of Omission by Fern Michaels, in hardback and CD, is a spellbinding novel of love and deception. It sweeps listeners from worn-torn France to dawn of Hollywood’s golden age.

Crossfire by Dick Francis and Felix Francis, his son, is about Tom and his mother, an esteemed horse trainer who is being blackmailed and forced to make her horses lose. Disabled Afghanistan veteran, Captain Tom Forsyth must use his military skills to root out the shadowy figure responsible for his mother’s predicament. The Vigilantes by W.E.B. Griffin is a new book in the Badge of Honor series. Filled with authentic color and detail, this is a riveting novel of men and women who put their lives on the line, from the cop on the beat to the commissioner himself. It is a story of fear, danger, courage and loyalty.

The Girl Who Chased The Moon by Sara Addison Allen invites you to a quirky little Southern town with more magic than a full Carolina moon. Moving in with the grandfather she never knew after the death of her mother, 17 year old Emily witnessed bizarre supernatural activities in her new North Carolina community while befriending its remarkable residents.
