The Lexington Eagles suffered defeat administered by the Thorndale Bulldogs. The Bulldogs got off to a good start and the Eagles never recovered. The Dogs won every quarter in the defeat of the Eagles.

Lexington got the shots needed to win the game, they just would not fall. Lexington missed numerous shots in the paint. The Eagles got the close in shots but just could not close the deal. With the drives getting to the basket it opened up the three-point shots for Eagle gunners but they just could not zero in on the target.

Zach Lay led Lexington in scoring with 12 points. Lay scored on a combination of a three, layins, and free throws. No other Eagle got out of single digits.

The game got very spirited between the two rivals as early as the first half. The officials and coaches did an excellent job of trying to keep the athletes under control.
