Cameron Deals Eagles Defeat
Cameron defeated Lexington 59- 36 Tuesday night in Lexington. The defeat was decisive as Lexington never really got into their game. Lexington fell behind 22-7 in the first quarter and never got closer. Cameron pressed the Eagles into mistakes and were very accurate early in the game.
Former Eagle Coach Robert Brashear’s son, Zach, dropped in 21 points in the first and early second quarter. There was an incident on the court and the Cameron coach removed him from the game at that point. Cameron went on to a 36-15 advantage at halftime.
Lexington played better in the second half as Cameron pulled back to a half-court game. Xavier Ward made a couple of shots and Zach Lay dropped a trey. The Eagle players would get a drive to the basket but could not finish the play with points.
Lexington did a good job of blocking out and getting rebounds but they could not convert the effort into points.
