Josephine Catherine Campbell
Josephine Catherine Kocurek Campbell was born on August 22, 1929 in Dime Box, Texas to Joe & Katie (Weiss) Kocurek She was united in marriage to Alton Frank Campbell on April 6, 1951. Their marriage was blessed with one son, Joe Paul Campbell.
Josephine was preceded in death by her parents, one sister; Milady Puckett and her husband Paul Puckett. She is survived by her husband, Alton Frank Campbell; son Joe Paul and wife Beth Campbell of Dime Box; three grandchildren, Thomas Campbell of College Station, Robert Campbell of College Station, and Katie Campbell of College Station Josephine was an active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and a Member of the Altar Guild. She also loved making homemade cookies for her husband and grandchildren, as well as her fond memories of her 30 plus years as an executive secretary for Cameron Iron works.
Funeral services for Josephine Catherine Campbell, 81 of Dime Box, Texas, were held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 10, 2011 at St. John Lutheran Church in Dime Box, Texas with Rev. Ed Truelson officiating. Burial followed in the Hranice Cemetery in Dime Box. Visitation was held on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and Monday from 7:00 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings.
Serving as her pallbearers were Thomas Campbell, Robert Campbell, Dennis Markert, Jerry Gold, Joe Green and Kenneth Ford.
