FAYETTE COUNTY COUNTRY MUSIC CLUB
The Fayette County Country Music Club will host their monthly Opry on Monday, January 17, 2011 at the KC Hall in La Grange. The show starts at 7:30 P.M. and the doors will open at 5:30 P.M. Admission is only $5.00. This month we are featuring:
CHRIS CERNOSEK is a La Grange native, who grew up cutting his musical teeth on oldtime country music. Playing the local beer joint and wedding circuit. . Then, in 1980, he moved to Austin, where he soon discovered the blues in the various clubs where the genre was being played by some of the blues masters of the day. There, he formed several bands. After thirtyplus years of playing in all manner of situations, Chris has found his niche playing a musical “gumbo” that is flavored with blues, country, and vintage rock & roll. He will share the KC Hall stage with his longtime musical cohort, saxophonist, Leo Hall, a local entertainer who is an excellent singer, guitar, and saxophone player.
SEALE SISTERS – Hannah is 26, Elisabeth 23, Deborah 19 and Abigail 17, and have been singing together as a group since 2001. They love singing together for the Lord at every opportunity they get and their passion shines through their music. The girls have performed in many venues including singing at the State Capitol Prayer Rally for Legislators, Austin, Texas, in April of 2009. They have also recently received the “Horizon Group of the Year” Award from South Texas Gospel Music Assoc. The prayer on the Seale Sisters’ heart is that other lives will be blessed, and that they would see Christ living in them and through them.
ED“BUGGIEALLEN”PEYER is from Columbus and was born in Wichita Falls Texas and moved to North Carolina. In 1974 he returned to Texas and started singing country music. While playing one night a piano player decided that his name should be “Boogie Allen” and his reputation has grown. With a vocal range that seems to have no end, he will reach out and touch you with your favorite songs. His talent has won him appearances with country greats: Alabama, Bellamy Brothers, Ronnie Milsap, Ray Price, Johnny Rodriguez and many more.
