Sheriff’s Report

December 13, 2010

Deputy York spoke to a complainant at 4135 E. Austin. Caller reported that his shed had been broken into. A report was made.

A caller reported that two males were on his property stealing his pecans. Deputy York responded and both subjects had been warned previously to stay out of the property. Both subjects were arrested.

A resident on PR 3052 reported that his solar panel had been stolen. Deputy Ray responded and a report was taken.

The Sheriff’s Office received a call from a complainant stating that a motorcycle had wrecked out on CR 117. Deputy Allen assisted DPS at the scene. One subject was arrested and brought to Lee County Jail.

Deputy Allen spoke to a complainant on North County Line Road. Someone had damaged her fence. A report was taken.

A complainant reported that the tenants close to his apartment were making a lot of noise. Deputy Ray responded and advised them to keep the noise down.

December 14, 2010

Deputy York responded to a call at the Dime Box School. The principal reported that they have had problems in the past with a parent. She showed up for the Christmas program and wanted a deputy to stand by in case she started any trouble.

An off duty officer from another agency reported a Mayflower moving van parked on Hwy 21. Deputy York checked it out and it was okay.

A complainant reported that a female named “Julie” was causing problems on PR 3001. She had broken into a vehicle that was parked at the residence. Captain Gonzales, Deputy Lapham and Deputy Allen searched the area, but the woman had left prior to arrival. A report was taken. Investigation continues on this case.

Lapham and Deputy Ray responded to a disturbance on CR 450 in Dime Box. A woman was a subject who is wheelchair bound. The subject left but deputies located her and gave her a criminal trespass warning.

December 15, 2010

While on routine patrol Deputy York was flagged down by a motorist. The subject was out of gas. Deputy York assisted the subject.

Deputy York assisted at a civil standby at a business on FM 448. The complainant advised that he attempted to get his property but a subject there was yelling and cussing at him.

A caller reported that she had locked her keys inside her vehicle and she needed her insulin that was inside the vehicle. Deputy York responded to the call on CR 309 and was able to get the door open.

December 16, 2010

Deputy Durrenberger was dispatched to FM 696 approx 4 miles east of the Jackson Store to put up a horse that was running loose.

A caller reported that he was trying to re-gravel the road on CR 302 and there was a subject blocking the roadway. Deputy Crockett and Deputy Durrenberger stood by until the road was paved.

Deputy Lapham spoke to a complainant regarding 3 telephone poles off his property at CR 217. Unknown if the telephone company took them.

A complainant called in a suspicious vehicle on CR 205. The vehicle was blocking his driveway. The driver advised he had to urinate. The white/brown colored truck left. Deputy Lapham was dispatched.

The Sheriff’s Office received a call requesting a deputy assist her daughter-in-law on Hwy 77 North @ CR 411. Deputy Allen located the vehicle and assisted with changing the tire.

December 17, 2010

Deputy Durrenberger and Deputy Crockett responded to a call from PCT 3 advising that CR 302 had been damaged and requested a report be made.

Sheriff Meyer reported that a trailer had overturned in the ditch on Hwy 77 South @ CR 223. Deputy Ray assisted DPS at the scene.

A caller requested a deputy assist her on CR 118 because her dogs were barking. Deputy Ray took the call and advised that there was a bunny in her yard.

Deputy Ray responded to a disturbance on CR 208. A caller reported that she was having problems with her son and his girlfriend and they were refusing to leave her house.

Giddings Police Dept. reported that they received a call about a one vehicle accident on CR 208 just outside the city. The checked the vehicle and found blood inside but no one was around. Deputy Durrenberger assisted a Fayette County trooper.

December 18, 2010

A motorist reported that there was a vehicle parked at the intersection of CR 314 @ CR 316 and a male subject is passed out in the back seat. Deputy Crockett responded to the scene.

Deputy Durrenberger responded to a burglary on CR F. A report was taken and investigation continues on this case.

A caller reported that someone was burning on FM 3403 approx. ¼ mile off Hwy 77. Deputy Durrenberger responded and the subjects were issued a burn ban warning.

Deputy Lapham spoke to a complainant regarding her children. Her ex-husband has custody this weekend and he will not allow their kids to call her although she bought them a cell phone in case they need her. She was referred to her attorney but Deputy Lapham advised he could do a welfare check on the kids. They were fine.

December 19, 2010

Deputy Liles responded to a disturbance on Hope St. in Shady Oaks subdivision. The lady had an argument with her husband and she was going to leave.
