Lady Eagles Master Mart

Lexington defeated Mart 53-48 Tuesday night to run their record to 7-3 for the season. The Lady Eagles had four starters in double figures. The balanced scoring kept Mart off balance all night in the fast paced game.

Lexington opened a lead in the second quarter after the two teams played even in the first period. Lexington won the second period 13-9. They followed that with 17-14 margin in the third quarter to enter the fourth period with seven-point advantage. Mart rallied back in the final stanza but the rally fell short.

Deja Griffin and Emilie Bell led the scoring with 12 points each. Mackenzie Brown and Angela Parks had 10 points each to complete the double-digit scoring.

The Lady Eagle JV scored a win over Mart also 21-19. Meaghan Wrinkle led the scoring with eightpoints. Madison Bexley tossed in seven points in the win.
