A motorist reported that a vehicle was going west in the eastbound lanes of traffic on Hwy 21. Deputy Liles checked Hwy 21 from the Burleson County line and was unable to locate any vehicles traveling on the wrong side of the roadway.
Chief Deputy Kothmann and Deputy Crockett searched CR 316 for a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was described as a black Chevrolet Silverado. Deputies will be patrolling the area.
A caller reported that there are trespassers on FM 3403 @ CR 454. Deputy Crockett was dispatched and located the subjects. They were picking pecans and left the area.
Deputy Lapham was dispatched out to a disturbance on FM 180. A husband and wife were having a verbal disagreement. Everything was okay.

The Sheriff’s Office received a residential burglar alarm on CR 127. Deputy Durrenberger was dispatched and spoke to the owner’s son. The wind had blown the door open.
A caller reported on 9-1-1 that she was very upset because her mom would not give her daughter back to her. Deputy York spoke to the complainant. Child Protective Services were called to investigate the situation.
A resident on Hwy 77 North called and requested assistance because her adult son was acting crazy. He had thrown a chair and was unstable. Chief Deputy Kothmann, Captain Gonzales and Deputy Durrenberger responded. The subject had calmed down.
December 1, 2010 A truck driver reported that there was a large cage in the roadway on Hwy 21 at the Burleson County line. Deputy Liles was dispatched. Upon arrival he noticed that a vehicle had struck the cage and was on the side of the highway with the flashers on. The driver was not injured and a wrecker was already on the way.
The Sheriff’s Office received several calls regarding a Ram running loose on Hwy 290 West. Deputy York and Deputy Durrenberger ran the Ram off the roadway.
December 2, 2010
A complainant reported to Deputy York that he was missing 3 bulls from his property on FM 696 West @ the Yegua Bridge. A report was taken.
Deputy Allen and Deputy Ray responded to a call regarding a suicidal subject on Hwy 77 North. MHMR arrived at the scene and advised that the juvenile would be transported to Austin State Hospital by her parents.
A motorist reported several cows out on CR 121 @ the bridge. Deputy Liles located the cattle and ran them off the roadway into a pasture.
Several callers reported that a vehicle had struck the guardrail approx 3 miles north of Hwy 21 on Hwy 77. Part of the guardrail was sticking out into the roadway. Deputy Ray responded and TXDOT was notified. Trooper Early was notified but advised no crash report would be taken because there was not a vehicle at the scene.
December 3, 2010
The Sheriff’s Office was notified by TXDOT that a vehicle was parked across from the Blue Moon and had damage to the front may have been involved in hitting the guardrail. Deputy Ray returned to the scene and spoke to the driver. Trooper Early was called out for a crash report.
Deputy Carvin spoke to a complainant regarding his barn getting burglarized in Ledbetter. A report was taken and investigation continues on this case.
Several motorists reported that several people were standing around a large fire on FM 2440. Deputy Allen responded and requested Giddings Fire Dept respond to put the fire out. Lee County is under a burn ban at this time.
December 4, 2010
A motorist reported that he struck a deer on Hwy 290 East and his vehicle was disabled. Deputy Allen and Deputy Liles responded to the scene.
A resident on PR 5000 reported that a subject known to him has been hanging around his house all night. Deputy Liles checked the area and will keep an eye on the subject.
Deputy York spoke to a caller regarding her brother. She stated that her brother showed up at her house this morning and had blood on him. He told her that he had gotten into a physical altercation with his wife sometime last night. Both subjects stated that they had been drinking. No charges were filed at this time.
A motorist flagged down Deputy York and gave him some property that was located on FM 448. The property was tagged and logged into evidence.
Deputy York was dispatched to a trespasser on FM 3403. The subject was located picking pecans again. The subject was given a trespassing warning and advised to not return onto the property or he would be arrested.
A motorist reported that someone was burning brush on CR 114. Deputy Carvin responded to the scene and asked them to extinguish the fire as Lee County was now under a burn ban.
Deputy York spoke to a complainant on CR 217 who advised a subject was trespassing on his property. The subject is a family member and no charges were filed.
December 5, 2010
Deputy Allen spoke to a complainant on CR 118. She advised that her neighbor’s are shining a light on her house again.
A caller reported that there was a vehicle on FM 112 approx 5 miles out of Lexington and a subject was walking with a gas can. Deputy Liles located the subject and gave him a courtesy ride to get gas and then back to his vehicle.
Deputy Lapham was dispatched to a burglar alarm in Dime Box. The home owner called and reported that it was a false alarm and everything was ok.
