Lady Eagles Drop Weimar

Lexington picked up two wins Monday night as they wrapped up basketball before the Thanksgiving break. The Varsity girls won 54-35 and the JV won 27-23.

The Lady Eagles were led in the varsity victory by Keja Griffin and Emilie Bell with 12 points each. Miranda Jones had 11-points on put backs. Lexington opened a big lead in the opening quarter with a 13-3 start. A 15-9 second quarter put Lexington up 28-12 at halftime. The Lady Eagles continued the onslaught with a 12-6 third quarter drive. The Lady Eagle then cruised in the fourth period to the win. The Lady Eagle JV captured their first win of the season behind Madison Bexley’s 13-points and Meaghan Wrinkle’s 10-points.
