November 22, 2010

Deputy Durrenberger was dispatched to Hwy 77 North after a motorist reported two black cows out on the road. The animals were removed from roadway.

A caller reported that the front door to a business on FM 141 was open. Deputy Lapham responded and checked the building and advised it was secure.

The Sheriff’s Office received a call from a woman claiming that her husband was suicidal and she had a mental health warrant on him in Harris County. Captain Gonzales was dispatched and advised that the subject had left prior to his arrival.

November 23, 2010

Deputy York and Deputy Durrenberger responded to a residential burglary. They owner’s arrived home and noticed several items were missing. Investigation continues on this case.

A motorist reported that there was a large dead hog on FM 141 @ FM 1697. Deputy Durrenberger reported that it was removed and was no longer a traffic hazard.

November 24, 2010

A motorist reported that a small green vehicle was parked at the radio tower and the town and country mobile home park. Deputy Crockett checked the area and was unable to locate a vehicle matching the description given.

Dispatch received several calls in reference to a gray car that drove across all four lanes of traffic, into the bar ditch and into some trees. Deputy Crockett and Deputy Durrenberger were dispatched to Hwy 290 West near CR 200 to attempt to locate the accident. Trooper Thorp and B&M ambulance were dispatched. The vehicle was located and there were no injuries or property damage. The driver had a tire blowout but was okay.

November 25, 2010 Deputy Allen was dispatched to an accident on Hwy 77 @ Elm Creek to work an accident. A vehicle had struck a deer.

November 26, 2010

A caller reported that his daughter called him and advised that she had a flat tire. She was out on Hwy 290 West near the Lee and Bastrop County line. Deputy Ray checked on the situation and advised that she already had a wrecker on the way but he would stand by until help arrived.

Deputy Ray was dispatched to Hwy 290 East @ CR 233 to check on a subject that was attempting to flag people down. Upon his arrival the vehicle was already being loaded onto a trailer.

A complainant spoke to Deputy York about some threatening phone messages he had been receiving from a blocked number.

Deputy York spoke to a complainant on Chisholm Trail in Lexington about a threatening letter that was placed in her mailbox by a neighbor who threatened to harm her dog. A report was taken.

A caller reported that someone had broken into her residence. Deputy York was dispatched and a report was taken. Investigation continues on this case.

A resident on CR 114 reported that someone was possibly poaching on his property. Deputy Allen was dispatched but was unable to locate any vehicles or people on the premises.

Deputy Lapham and Deputy Allen were dispatched to a residential burglar alarm in Dime Box. The landowner had checked the property and called to disregard officers because everything was okay. Deputy Lapham met with the owner to make sure everything was fine.

November 27, 2010

Deputy York was dispatched to a business alarm on Hwy 290 West. The building was secure. The owner’s were notified.

A caller requested to speak to a deputy regarding problems she was having with her adult son. She reported that he is always “whooping” and hollering all night long and she can’t sleep. Deputy Carvin advised that he spoke to both parties and they agreed they would resolve the issue themselves.

Deputy Carvin attempted to locate a Ford truck that was reported to be weaving in and out of traffic on Hwy 290 West.

A motorist reported that a horse was running on FM 696 West by the Jackson Store. Deputy York was dispatched and advised that he ran it into a pasture on the south side of FM 696 West.

The Sheriff’s Office received a call from a subject advising that her grandfather was unconscious on the ground and she did not think he was breathing. Deputy York responded to the call along with B&M ambulance. The Justice of the Peace was requested to the scene.

Deputy Allen was dispatched to a vehicle vs. deer accident on Hwy 77 South near Neal’s Dirt. A report was taken.

Deputy Lapham put up a donkey that was running wild on FM 34303 between CR 442 and CR 446.

November 28, 2010

Deputy Lapham and Deputy Liles assisted Trooper Thorp at the scene of a rollover accident on CR 430E approx 4 miles off FM 141.

A security company reported a burglar alarm at a residence on CR 103. Deputy Carvin responded and checked the residence and advised everything was secure.

The Giddings Police Department and Lee County Sheriff’s Office are taking names for Blue Santa. The Annual Blue Santa fund raiser will be Saturday December 4th starting at 5:00 p.m. at Circle W Restaurant. Good luck Friday night to the Lexington Eagles.
