John enjoyed carpenter work and working in his garden and sharing with others the fruit and vegetables which he produced.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Irene Wright of Ledbetter; special friends, which John and Irene called daughters, the Hover sisters-Veronica, Mary, Teresa and Thelma of Houston and a host of relatives and friends.
