Lexington Tree Lighting this Saturday

Lexington’s annual tree lighting event, known as the Pioneer Festival of Lights, will be held this Saturday at the Lexington Log Cabins, beginning at about 4:30 p.m.

Sausage Wraps, tea, cookies and hot chocolate will be available.

The Lexington Ministerial Alliance will present local choirs performing during the event. Then, the highlight of the evening will be the arrival of Santa! He is expected to arrive at dusk to turn on the huge tree of lights in front of the cabins.

The Lexington Rotary will be sponsoring “Pictures with Santa” that evening too. Children can have their pictures made with Santa. A donation of $5 or an unwrapped toy is asked for every Picture with Santa. All proceeds go to the Lexington Blue Santa Project, sponsored by the Lexington Rotary.

This is a family-friendly event that is a long-standing tradition in Lexington. Be sure to mark your calendars now and plan to attend the Annual Pioneer Festival of Lights.
