Ronnie Lee McKeown Edna Irma Oltmann
Ronnie Lee McKeown was born on April 29, 1934 in Giddings, Texas to Wise T. & Alice (Harrison) McKeown. He attended Giddings High School and was a member of the 1951 Giddings Buffalo State Champion Football Team. He was united in marriage to Shirley Dement on July 5, 1951 in La Grange, Texas and was a retired mail carrier with the United States Post Office serving 22 years with the Giddings Post Office. Ronnie was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the J.D. Giddings Lodge #280 in Giddings and the W.J. Nixon Lodge in Smithville. He was also a member of the Ben Hur Shrine Temple and the Austin Scottish Rite Bodies.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Wise C. McKeown and Roy O. McKeown.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley McKeown of Giddings; three children, Debbie Horn and her husband, Mickey of Midland, Nancy McKeown of Gididngs and Mark McKeown of Indiana; five grandchildren, Josh Van Cleave formerly of Giddings, Sean Booth of Giddings, Shannon & Dr. Darden Hervey of Dime Box, Amanda & Brian McCue of Germany and Amber & Joseph Lang of Giddings; six great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Alene McKeown of Giddings; four nieces; one nephew and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Ronnie McKeown, 76 of Giddings, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Giddings with Tim Clayton officiating. Burial with Masonic graveside services followed in the Giddings City Cemetery. Visitation was held Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 7:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. The McKeown family was present for visitation Monday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Mrs. Oltmann passed away on Friday, November 19, 2010 at Northrup, Texas.
Edna Irma Patschke Oltmann was born on September 30, 1921 in Fedor, Texas to Emil & Emma (Iselt) Patschke. She was baptized on September 30, 1921 at her home by her uncle, Emil Proske and confirmed on April 14, 1935 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fedor by Rev. A.F. Michalk. Edna was united in marriage to Ernest W. Oltmann on June 10, 1942 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fedor also by Rev. A.F. Michalk. Their marriage was blessed with four sons and a daughter. They were married for 68 years when he preceded her in death on July 20, 2010. She was a loving and devoted homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed gardening and cooking. She had also been employed by Melcher’s Meat Market and in the cafeteria at Giddings High School for several years. Edna was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Serbin where she had been a member of the Ladies Aid. She also was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxillary in Giddings.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; five sisters, Hildegard Patschke, Ethyl Patschke, her twin sister, Irma Patschke, Gertrude Sharp and Ruby Oltmann; three brothers, Herbert Patschke and two brothers in infancy.
She is survived by her five children, Bobby & Carolyn Oltmann of Northrup, Dennis & Shirley Oltmann of Giddings, Dianna & Arthur Noack of Northrup, Ronald & Linda Oltmann of Serbin and Ralph & Darlene Oltmann of Waco; fourteen grandchildren, Keith & Cherie Oltmann of Northrup, Craig & Melodi Oltmann of Serbin, Gary & Tracy Oltmann of Northrup, Amber & Don Beadles of Austin, Calene & Patrick Horton of Austin, Jesse Oltmann of Giddings, Britt & Kevin Kushner of Austin, James Noack of Giddings, Sandi & Dwain Coufal of Temple, Johnathan & Amy Noack of Giddings, Brandon Oltmann of Webster, Heather Sowders of Serbin, Derrick & Amber Oltmann of Waco and Alyson Oltmann of Waco; twelve great grandchildren; two aunts, Erna Patschke and Helen Patschke; two sisters-in-law, Gladys & Victor Symm of Serbin and Ruth & Richard Lewis of Wolf City as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Edna Oltmann, 89 of Northrup, Texas, were held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Serbin, Texas with Rev. John Schmidt officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Visitation was held Tuesday from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 7:00 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. The family was present for visitation Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Pallbearers were Keith Oltmann, Craig Oltmann, Gary Oltmann, Jesse Oltmann, James Noack, Johnathan Noack, Brandon Oltmann and Derrick Oltmann.
