Lexington Christmas on the Square
Round Top State Bank in Lexington, along with the Lexington Log Cabins and Heritage Center will host the Annual Pioneer Festival of Lights, Saturday, December 4, 2010. The event will once again be held at the Lexington Log Cabins, on the north side of the Square, beginning at around 4:30 p.m.
Sausage Wraps and tea will be served by the Lexington Log Cabins for $3 a plate. Serving will begin at 5 p.m.
Round Top State Bank will have plenty of cookies with hot chocolate available at no cost.
The Lexington Ministerial Alliance will provide a musical experience for the crowd, with local choirs performing during the event. Then, the highlight of the evening will be the arrival of Santa! He is expected to arrive at dusk to turn on the huge tree of lights in front of the cabins.
Right after Santa lights the tree, he will settle into one of the cabins to have his picture taken with young girls and boys.
The Lexington Rotary will be sponsoring “Pictures with Santa” that evening too. Children can have their pictures made with Santa and tell him what they want for Christmas. A donation of $5 or an unwrapped toy is asked for every Picture with Santa. All proceeds go to the Lexington Blue Santa Project, sponsored by the Lexington Rotary.
This is a family-friendly event that is a long-standing tradition in Lexington. Be sure to mark your calendars now and plan to attend the Annual Pioneer Festival of Lights.
