Snook Sneaks Past Lexington

by Mike Organ

Snook’s Lady Blue Jays topped Lexington Friday evening 46-40 to bring their record to 3-0 and drop Lexington to 1-1 in the new season. Snook used an 8-point burst in the third quarter to open up the game. Lexington could never recover from the small blitz.

In true Snook tradition the Lady Jays put constant man-to-man pressure on the Lady Eagles. The Lady Eagles were experienced enough to handle the pressure and get into their offense. It was the transition back to defense that cost the Lady Eagles some easy lay-ins and close shots.

Emily Bell led Lexington in scoring with 13 points. Angel Parks had nine markers for Lexington.
