Six Sentenced in District Court

Six people were sentenced on November 9, 2010, in the 21st Judicial District Court of Lee County. The Honorable Reva Towslee-Corbett presided.

Bobby W. Davis, 18 of Baytown, was sentenced for prohibited substance in a correctional facility. He received ten years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice probated seven years. He was ordered to pay $304 court costs; $400 Court Appointed Attorney Fee; $50 Bluebonnet Area Crime Stopper Fee; $50 Drug Court Fee; $400 Restitution; $750 Fine; $34 DNA Testing Fee and ordered to perform 200 hours community service restitution.

Craig J. Melancon, Jr., 19 of New Orleans, was sentenced for prohibited substance or item in correctional facility and received four years confinement in the TDCJ, probated four years. He was ordered to pay $1,588 in court costs, fees and fines.

Briana Nicole Morrison, 24 of Giddings, was sentenced for assault family/household memberbodily injury with previous conviction. She received four years confinement in the TDCJ, probated four years. She was ordered to pay $1,538 in court costs, fees and fines. She was also ordered to attend an Anger Management Program and Treatment.

Sammy Lee Hudgen, Jr., 19 of Burton, was sentenced for abandon or endangerment of a child. He received five years probation and was ordered to pay $1,888 in court costs, fees and fines. He was also ordered to serve 200 hours community service restitution.

Ernesto “Ernie” Gonzales, 22, of Lexington, was sentenced for possession of Marijuana, 4 oz.-5 lbs. He received three years probation and was ordered to pay $1,728 in court costs, fees and fines. He was ordered to attend an Anger Management Program and Treatment. He pled to misdemeanor assault in Lee County Court and agreed forfeiture of $598 U.S. Currency; and, complete Drug Offender Education Program.

Holly Elizabeth Jacob, 21 of Lexington, was sentenced for possession of Marijuana, 4 oz.-5 lbs. She received three years probation and was ordered to pay $1,728 in court costs, fees and fines. She was ordered to attend an Anger Management Program and Treatment and agreed forfeiture of $598 in U.S. Currency. She pled to misdemeanor assault in Lee County Court and was ordered to complete a Drug Offender Education Program.
