They get a bye the first week of the playoffs. The second week, Lexington will play the winner of Frankston and former district opponent New Waverly. Frankston is located between Jacksonville and Athens, 161 miles from Lexington. New Waverly is on Interstate 45, just south of Huntsville.

Frankston finished second in District 9 behind New London West Rusk. NewWaverly finished third in District 10 behind Corrigan-Camden and Groveton.

Frankston is favored to win the game but in high school football that is why you play the game.
