Eagle JV Tops Rogers

Lexington’s JV team ended the season with a 40-24 win over Rogers Thursday night. Eriq Mitchell scored four times on runs of 55, 17, 12, and 10 yards. Jacob Snyder scored on a five yard run and a PAT run. Zach Lay hauled in a 50-yard scoring pass and a pass for a two-point PAT. The Eagle JV played their best game of the season the last game of the season.

Mitchell had 185 yards rushing on 23 carries. Snyder rushed five times for 10 yards. Lay caught six passes for 93 yards. Corey Strain snagged an aerial for 14-yards and Snyder caught four flare passes for nine-yards.

With the conservative Rogers offense, there were a lot of tackles. Marcus Cassasa had 10 stops. Cameron Janda had eight tackles, Mitchell, Snyder, and Colt Sunvison had seven each. Lay, Strain, and Gabriel McMahon had three stops each. Kevin Page had a couple of tackles. Steven Rasco, Michael Yonts, Austin Smith, Christian Green, Chris Johnson, Matt Harkreader, and Jamyon Scott all made important stops.
