Lady Eagles End Season with Win

Lexington defeated Florence in a four game match Tuesday night. The win ends the season for Lexington. The Lady Eagles were 21-17 for the season and 6-8 in district play.

The Lady Eagles won the first game against Florence 25-23. This game was close all the way. Lexington led 22-18 for the biggest lead during the match. Florence took the second game 21-25 as Lexington fell behind early, catching up at 16-all before falling back again. The last two games went in Lexington’s favor 25-22 and 25-21.

Johna Alford led the team with seven kills and a block. Aleece Moerbe had six kills and an ace serve. Marley Ross had a great game with five aces, three kills, three digs, and two blocks. Karley Wren had two aces, three kills, and two blocks. Kelly Hacker ended her high school volleyball career with 13 assists and four blocks. Brittany Nichol was a perfect 10 of 10 on her serves. Freshman Madison Bexley had six digs.

The Lady Eagles say good bye to Kelly Hacker and Haley Jatzlau but return the rest of the varsity with experience to burn.
