Edward Adolph Lehmann
Edward Adolph Lehmann was born on January 20, 1932 in Carmine, Texas to Adolph Gus & Antonie (Schultz) Lehmann. He was baptized on March 7, 1932 at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Carmine by Rev. Henry Brunotte and was confirmed there as well on March 21, 1948 by Rev. Leo H. Simon. His confirmation verse was Psalm 111:10. Edward was united in marriage to Marilyn Weishuhn on June 12, 1955 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in La Grange, Texas by Rev. H.T. Flachmeier. He was a retired dairy rancher and a former member of the Burton I.S.D. School Board. Edward enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching his cattle and the companionship of his dog, Happy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph & Antonie Lehmann; his wife, Marilyn; sister and brother-in-law, Ruby & Arthur Weerts and sister-in-law, Janet Lehmann.
Edward is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Kerry Lehmann and Barbara Lehmann of Carmine; two grandchildren, Nicholas Lehmann of Carmine and Tabatha & Michael Diehl of Carmine; one great grandson, Aden Diehl of Carmine; two brothers, Raymond & Ruby Lehmann of Ledbetter and Kenneth Lehmann of Ledbetter as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Edward Lehmann, 78 of Carmine, Texas, were held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Carmine, Texas with Rev. Karen Nelson officiating. Burial followed in the Ledbetter Cemetery. Visitation was held Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. The Lehmann family was present for visitation Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
