Darrell Johnny Kastner

Darrell passed away on Monday, November 1, 2010 at his home in Lexington.

Darrell Johnny Kastner was born on July 31, 1948 in Austin, Texas to Leonard & Lydia (Laake) Kastner. He graduated from Elgin High School and was united in marriage to Marina Ward on April 27, 1965 in McDade, Texas. Darrell was a retired operator with Alcoa in Rockdale and a member of the First Baptist Church in Lexington.

He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Bill Ward and a son-in-law, Michael Beier.

Darrell is survived by his wife, Marina Kastner of Lexington; two daughters, Theresa Kastner Beier Gest and husband, Brad of Lakeway and Kimberly Kastner Dorsett and husband, Mark of Ft. Worth; five grandchildren, Carly Beier, Dustin Beier and Kaimee Gest of Lakeway and Carter Dorsett and Ty Dorsett of Ft. Worth; brother, Leonard & Alice Kastner of Lexington; mother-inlaw and father-in-law, Reta Ward & Marcy Kemp of McDade; brothers in-law, John & Susan Ward of Coupland and James & Kathy Ward of Lake Whitney as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Graveside services for Darrell Kastner, 62 of Lexington, Texas, are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at the McDade Cemetery with Pastor Gary Roe officiating. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Lexington. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Lexington. The Kastner family will be present for visitation Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m
