Nine Sentenced in the District Court

Nine people were sentenced in the 21st District Court of Lee County, Texas, on October 26, with the Honorable Reva Towslee- Corbett Presiding.

Rojelio Amara, Jr., 17 of Texas Youth Commission in Giddings, was sentenced for two charges. The first was for harassment by person in certain correctional facility for which he received six years confinement in the TDCJ. He was ordered to pay $788 in fees and court costs. The second disposition was for assault on a public servant. He received six years confinement in the TDCJ and ordered to pay an additional $788 in fees and court costs.

Brian A. Sanchez, 17 of Texas Youth Commission, also received two sentences, both for harassment by person in certain correctional facility, for which he received for each count, five years confinement in the TDCJ, and ordered to pay $788 in fees and court costs

Clifford Joe Drake, 42 of Nederland, was sentenced for driving while intoxicated subsequent. He received five years confinement in the TDCJ, and ordered to pay $938 in fees and court costs, and a two-year driver’s license suspension.

Cameron Robertson, 17 of Texas Youth Commission, was sentenced for harassment by person in certain correctional facility, count one. He received four years confinement in the TDCJ, and was ordered to pay $788 in fees and court costs.

Christian Y. Garcia, 17 of Texas Youth Commission, was sentenced for harassment by person in certain correctional facility. He received three years confinement in the TDCJ, and ordered to pay $788 in fees and court costs.

Bruce Bennett Ray II, 24 of Brenham, was sentenced for possession of controlled substance-Cocaine, less than 1 gram. He received revocation of original sentence, ordered to spend 547 days confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice State Jail Facility, and all costs previously assessed plus $400 court appointed attorney fee on revocation matters.

Donta Marquice Waddell, 22 of Giddings, had two dispositions. One for burglary of a building, for which he received 180 days confinement in the Lee County Law Enforcement Center, and ordered to pay $488 in fees, court costs and restitution. The second disposition was for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance-cocaine, 1-4 grams. He was sentenced to six years probation, and ordered to pay $1528 in fees, court costs, and restitution and to perform 200 hours community service, and attend a Drug Offender Education Program.

Aubrey Lee Carpenter, 21 of Brenham, had two dispositions. The first was for possession of a controlled substancemethamphetamine, less than 1 gram, for which he received 150 days confinement in the Lee County Law Enforcement Center, and ordered to pay $404 in fees and court costs, and Agreed Forfeiture of $1,100 U.S. Currency. The second disposition was for forgery of government instrumentmoney. He received eight years confinement in the TDCJ, probated eight years, ordered to pay $1594 in fees, court costs and restitution and order to serve 200 hours community service.

Gustavo Alonso Espinosa, aka Gustavo Espinosa Alonsa, 30 of Giddings, received a disposition for possession of a controlled substance-cocaine, less than 1 gram. He was sentenced to two years probation, and ordered to pay $1578 in fees, court costs and restitution, perform 150 hours community service , and attend a Drug Offender Education Program.
