Brenham Children’s Chorus to Perform in “Carmen”

On Sunday, November 14 at 5:00 pm at Rudder Auditorium in College Station, the Brenham Children’s Chorus will be performing in Georges Bizet’s opera-comique “Carmen” in a concise concert version.

Under the direction of Dr. Marcelo Bussiki, these talented young choristers have been invited to be a part of the annual collaboration of the Brazos Valley Chorale, the Texas A & M Century Singers, and the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra. Calling Brazos Valley home, two of the major talents of the operatic stage, Sasha Cooke and Emily Pulley, will join with their professional colleagues to create the classic roles of this cherished and charismatic masterpiece, including Daniel Snyder, Kelly Markgraf, Jennifer Wise, Phillip Hill, Maureen, Broy Papovich, Casey Papovich, and Chris Hoffman .

Greg Wise, professor at Blinn College in Bryan, will be the narrator. The Brenham Children’s Chorus Artistic Director is Pam Bennett Young and Martha Haydon is the accompanist. Tickets are available at the Brazos Valley Symphony Box Office at 979-696-6100 or on line at office@bvso.org.
