You must register to vote at least 30 days prior to an election. The registration will remain in effect until you move and a new certificate will be sent to you every two years without further application on your part. If you move, however, your registration certificate will not be forwarded to your new address. If you move within the same county, you must notify your County Clerk or Elections Administrator in writing of your new address as soon as possible. Then a new certificate will be mailed to you. If you move to another county, you must re-register by applying to the elections office in your new county.
