Giddings Falls to Caldwell 37-35

Giddings opened a 35-17 lead over undefeated Caldwell but was unable to stop the Hornets in the fourth quarter. Caldwell posted 20 unanswered points in the final stanza to nip the Buffs 37-35.

David Bradshaw gave Giddings the lead in the first quarter with a six-yard run. Michael Rangel added the first of five PAT kicks for a 7-3 lead. Bradshaw scored on a 2-yard plunge in the second quarter to widen the lead to 14-3. Caldwell came back for a score to leave Giddings ahead 14-10 at the half.

Eric Rimes added two scores in the third quarter on runs of three and 43-yards. Caldwell slipped in a bomb on a 47-yard pass play. The Buffs led 28-17 after three quarters.

Joseph Glenn zipped in from 51- yards out to give Giddings the 35- 17 lead before the Caldwell comeback.
