Winners of Creative Cups for the Cause

During The Pink Ribbon Affair on October 12th the special attraction of the evening was the Creative Cups for the Cause art bra contest and exhibit. People from the local area and beyond submitted a total of 70 entries this year.

The art bras were judged prior to the opening of the event. The judging team included Vi Mueller and Janice Teinert of LaGrange, and Dorothy Rackel of Dime Box. They critiqued each entry and selected the winners that best met the categories of the prizes. The winners included:

Best of Show– “Borgello in Pink” by Janis Fischer

Most Creative – “Santa Helpers- Two Subordinate Clauses” by Phyllis Simmonds

Most Beautiful– “Mardi Bras- Part Duex” by Anissa Menefee and Myra Homer

Best Awareness Theme – “Surviving Month by Month” by Jo Ann Gore

“Punniest” Title – “Bra-Bra Black Sheep” by LaVell Sommerlatte

Best Youth Entry – “Purr –fect Pair” by Sadie and Cille Claxton

Best Work of Art – “Hope” by Janel Jefferson
