Three Giddings Men Sentenced in District Court

Three men from Giddings were sentenced last week in the 21st District Court. The Honorable Reva Towslee-Corbett presided over the Court that sent Brandon Herbert to jail for two years, Allen Sharell Bledsoe for 327 days and Ruben Rocha to 2 years, probated for three years.

Herbert, 17, in the Texas Youth Commission, was sentenced for having a prohibited substance or item in a correctional facility. He was ordered to pay $304 in court costs, $400 court appointed attorney fee; $50 Bluebonnet Area Crime Stopper fee, $34 DNA testing fee, $50 drug court fee and $140 restitution.

Bledsoe, 25, was sentenced for theft, less than $1500 with two or more previous convictions. He was ordered to pay a $750 fine, $304 in court costs, $400 court appointed attorney fee; $50 Bluebonnet Area Crime Stopper fee, $34 DNA testing fee, and $350 restitution.

Rocha, 44, was sentenced for burglary of a building. He was given probation and ordered to pay a $1500 fine, $304 in court costs, $400 court appointed attorney fee; $50 Bluebonnet Area Crime Stopper fee, $34 DNA testing fee, and $601 restitution. He was also ordered to enter and complete a substance abuse felony punishment treatment facility.
