Lexington EDC Elects New Officers

The Lexington Economic Development Corporation met on Monday, October 28. In attendance were Michael Hess, Kathi Olechowski, Candice Schneider, Jordan Bexley, and newly elected Board Members Dennis Boettcher and Nancy Perry. New member Kelly Brown was unable to attend.

The first order of business was to elect officers for their new fiscal year. Michael Hess was elected President, replacing outgoing President Alan Turner. Kathi Olechowski was elected Vice- President replacing outgoing Elizabeth Boettcher. Nancy Perry was elected Secretary, replacing outgoing Secretary, Diane Walch. Candice Schneider was re-elected to continue serving as Treasurer of the corporation.

The new Board worked on the 2011 Budget which will be submitted to the Lexington City Council for approval. The Board approved Small Business Grant requests covering improvements to the metal awning and porch area of the Senior Citizens Building in Downtown Lexington.

The next EDC Meeting is scheduled for November 22.
