Lady Eagles Bump Thorndale

Lexington recorded their second district win Tuesday night with a four-game win over the Thorndale Lady Dogs. Lexington won 20-25, 25-13, 25-9, 25-22. The Lady Eagles bounced back from a first game loss to take three in a row from Thorndale.

Johna Alford and Aleece Moerbe had great nights as they repeatedly hammered the ball down on the Thorndale side of the net. 13 of Johna’s kills hit the floor and 11 of Aleece’s scored. Kelly Hacker had 20 assists in setting team mates. Hacker had three aces, Brittany Nichol three aces, and Karley Wren three aces. Wren had nine digs, and Haley Jatzlau bumped up eight digs. Marley Ross, a multi-skilled player, had two aces, four kills, and four digs.

Lexington ended the first round of district play with a 2-5 record with hope of improvement in the second round of District play.
