From the Mayor’s Desk

by Robert Willrich, Sr.

On Wednesday, September 22, a little storm came through on 405 about 6 miles east of Lexington. It dropped 3/4 of an inch of rain and extremely strong winds in a short period of time. This very old Elm tree was taken out in Willie Shelton’s yard. When it blew over it took the top out of the tree next to it. This tree WAS huge!! PHOTO BY MARY RETZLOFF.
