The Giddings Public Library has many patrons that prefer CD’s to books. Some of the newest CD’s include 3 stories on 1 CD by Louis L’Amour, (1) Outlaws Of The Poplar Creek (2) Bowdrie Follows A Cold Trade (3) His Brother’s Debt.
A Hole In Texas by Herman Wouke, Days Of Gold by Jude Deveraux, Montana Sky by Nora Roberts, State Of Fear by Michael Crichton, and Act Of Treason by Vince Flynn are also available on CD.
Cold Blue Blood by David Handler, in hardback and CD, is a Berger and Mitry mystery that blends romance with a string of murders on a small island.
Some fiction books are Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert, and a new volume of To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee.
In the non-fiction area can be found The South Beach Diet Cookbook by Arthur Agatston, M.D., which is filled with delicious recipes that are good for your health and waistline. Texas Gardner’s Resource by Dale Groom contains all you need to know to plan, plant, and maintain a Texas garden with information on low-water gardening, pest control, native plants and over 300 full color profiles.
Other non-fiction books are Smelling The Roses, Life Passages, And Governing Texas-Local ,State, and National Governments by Sutter Cane.
The Giddings Library is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. The Library is closed on Sundays. Come see us! We are located on Orange Street (FM 141) in Giddings.
