Thursday afternoon to a clearing sky, the Lexington 7th grade football team marched out onto THEIR home field for the first time. Their intended victim, the Academy Bees. The 7th grade contest was an exciting game with new Quarterback Alberto Lara dealing out some good runs and hard hits at his linebacker position. The game eventually came down to the fourth quarter with Academy up by 6 but Lexington driving hard. The last offensive play was a deeply thrown ball by Lexington’s back up quarterback Joseph Kelley towards the end zone...and...and..it was intercepted thus ending the young Eagles debut with Academy buzzin’ the Eagles, winning 14-8.

The 8th grade Lexington Eagles took their turn on the field vs. Academy Thursday evening. In another evenly matched game, the fans were treated with a 65 yard touchdown run by Tyler Page and a game that came down to the end. When it was all over Academy had pulled another victory beating Lexington by a score of 24-16.
