Lady Eagles Foil Fayetteville

The Lady Eagles went into a temperature hot Fayetteville gym Tuesday evening and put a couple of losses on the Lady Lions. The Lady Eagle varsity won in four games 25-14, 25-15, 19-25, and 25- 20. The JV won in two games 25- 16, 25-13.

The Lady Eagle team had 15 aces and 31 kills. Coach Tiffany Robertson said, “Overall we played great. Johna Alford led the team in kills with 14. Karley Wren and Aleece Moerbe were right behind Alford with eight and seven kills respectively. Kelly Hacker led the team in aces with six. We have finally got the block figured out which has taken a lot of pressure off our defensive specialists. As a team, we had 21 touches on the ball with a block kill, or a touch that took some of the speed off the ball.”

Coach Chris Horn said of the JV, “They played well as a team and did an excellent job to close it out in two games.”
