Lexington opened the tourney by playing Denver City, a town just this side of New Mexico. DC won the match 12-25, 15-25. They have a player that is going to UT to play volleyball. Lexington lost to Brock 17-25, 18-25. Lexington got on the winning side by defeating Graford 25-17, 25-18. Another win followed against Electra 25-22, 25-17. Archer City was Lexington’s next victim as the Lady Eagles won 25- 18, 25-12. Lexington then lost in the championship game of the silver bracket. Newcastle, a name familiar to Giddings readers, beat the Lady Eagles.

“The girls stayed in a cabin on Possum Kingdom Lake. They had a great time and had time to bond as a team,” said Coach Tiffany Robertson.
