Patrons of the Giddings Public Library will want to read Treasure Hunt by John Lescroart, a nailbiting thriller and a coming-of-age story, set against San Francisco’s glamorous charity circuit. Nanny Returns by Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus, tells about a community that chose money over love and finds itself with neither.

Catalyst by Anne McCaffrey and Elizabeth Ann Scarborough is a science-fiction novel. The Vows Of Silence by Susan Hill is one in the Simon Serrailler detective series. Other new novels are

Wishin’ And Hopin’ by Wally Lamb, Fire by Kristin Cashore and The Disciple by Stephen Coonts.

Pirate Latitudes by Michael Crichton is an adventure tale filled with relentless action, cracking atmosphere, and heart pounding suspense. Alone by Loren Estleman is a new Valentino mystery.

Full Of Money by Bill James is a cynical and engaging look at culture, class, and crime.
