Meet Jeff Rogers - New Boy’s Coach

Coach Jeff Rogers Coach Jeff Rogers Jeff Rogers comes to Lexington from Navasota ISD. He was at Navasota for five years with Lee Fedora who was a coach at Rogers many years ago. Rogers’ coaching career has taken him from Waco Reicher (three years), Bosqueville (two years), and Robinson before his stint in Navasota. Rogers graduated from West High School in 1992 and Southwestern University in1996

Rogers will be the offensive coordinator in Lexington, the same position he held at Navasota. He will also coach track and possibly help with basketball. Coach Rogers will teach dual credit classes in the Distance Learning Program. Wife Marsha teaches school in College Station where their sons, Kade age 11, and Kallan, age six, will go to school. They plan on moving to Lexington if a job becomes available for Mrs. Rogers.

Rogers likes the program that Coach Jason Holcomb has established in Lexington. He also likes the town and the tradition the Eagles have generated.

Chris Horn comes to Lexington from Trent ISD to coach in the girls program. He will assist in volleyball, basketball, and track. Coach Horn will teach Government/Economics and World History in addition to his coaching duties.

Horn is married to Roxann. They have two children, 12-year old Angel and 10-month old Brandon. Coach Horn is a 1996 graduate of Abilene Cooper High School. He graduated from Hardin-Simmons University in 2008 before beginning his teaching career.

His reason for coming to Lexington is that he likes this portion of the state and that Lexington has a great athletic tradition that is known throughout the state.

Coach Horn believes in a philosophy of “Hard works pays off.”
