Giddings Library News Corner

The Giddings Public Library and Cultural Center’s latest book shipment has mysteries, murder, romance, and suspense as well as non-fiction books. Diana Palmer’s two classic love stories book contains Silent Night Man and Sutton’s Way, both easy reading and entertaining.

Clive Cussler’s books are always popular and Spartan Gold will be enjoyed by patrons. Cussler’s newest characters, Sam and Reni Fargo, are involved in a treasure hunt that is filled with suspense and thrills. Other new books are Liberating Atlantis by Harry Turtledove, Haiku by Andrew Vachss and The Last Time I Saw You by Elizabeth Berg.

Kisser by Stuart Woods, available in both hardback and CD, is a Stone Barrington novel where he must uncover the truth in a world where wealth and beauty may come at a high price. Some other new books are The Brightest Star In The Sky by Marian Keyes, A Dark Matter by Peter Straub, and Impact by Douglas Preston.

Two science-fiction books are The Gathering Storm by Robert Jordan and The Hidden Flame by Davis Bunn, Below Zero by C. J. Box is a thrilling novel featuring Wyoming game warden Joe Pickett. Ticket To Ride by Ed Gorman features detective Sam McCain who must solve two linked murders in 1965. Other new books are Unfinished Desires by Gail Godwin and The Immortal Life Of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot.
